Anna Lapwood

Musical Director

Anna is a conductor, organist and broadcaster, and has worked with Zoe and Ellie for the past couple of years through her work as Director of Music at Pembroke College. Anna's mother is a retired palliative care Doctor, so when Anna heard Ellie and Zoe's idea she was raring to go - and has taken the NHS Chorus-19 from concept to fully fledged choir!

Dr Ellie Walder

Junior Doctor & assistant Musical Director

In March 2020 Ellie was working on the Covid admissions ward at Addenbrooke's with Dr Zoe Fritz when they came up with the idea for an NHS virtual choir, initially imagined just within Addenbrookes itself. Ellie has been so proud to see how far the Choir have come in the past year, with members joining us from all over the UK.  Alongside medicine, she is a soprano with the Choir of Pembroke College, Cambridge and has written some arrangements for the NHS Chorus-19.

Dr Zoë Fritz

Consultant physician in Acute medicine

While working on the COVID-19 admissions unit at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Zoë identified the need for some form of music-making for NHS workers to lift the spirits. She mentioned it to Ellie, also working on the unit, and so the NHS Chorus-19 was born!
